It has been a Very Long Time since I last wrote here. We’ve spent more time than I care to think about trying to bring down a dead elm next to our house, and trying to trim back some horrendous, thorny vines that have threatened to take over the universe. Good LORD it’s a lot of work to take care of a house. I say that with a smile on my face, though. It’s good, honest work, and I’m glad I can do it with my partner in crime.

The storm hitting the Gulf Coast seems like a nasty one, but I’m glad it slowed down a little bit before it hit land.

With a little luck, maybe this weekend we’ll get to go up to the prairie and enjoy ourselves. We need out of this town, if only for a little while.
